I wear size S but took M and the legs are nice wider, in the waistband a little loose but you can make holes and pull the string through! As someone has large thighs I recommend taking a size larger, the material is very nice warmish

You can buy one size smaller, the fit is wide and flexible. It came as a ball between the legs, that's the only problem.
