Timaş Yayınları To Us and a Traveler's Notes

Product description

Ahmet hâşim, who published his writings under the title “according to us” in i̇kdam on march 26, 1928, also publishes his impressions of his trip to paris in september of 1928 under the title “travel” in the same newspaper. The poet compiles a selection from these writings towards the end of 1928, which he publishes as notes of a journey and according to us. The first part of his book, which consists of two sections, consists of writings that focus on daily matters, while the second part, as the name suggests, consists of writings where the poet describes his impressions from his trip to paris. In this regard, the sharp wit of the poet appears between the lines of these writings, which touch on most everyday matters, often with a sarcastic and mocking tone.

Enriched with visuals and prepared as “critical edition”, according to us and notes of a journey once again reveals that hâşim is not only a mighty poet who guides our modern poetry, but also a style-conscious nesir writer.
