Abalone was designed by laurent levy and michel lalet in 1990 and is currently the most award-winning intelligence game in the world. The inspiration for the abalone game is the famous japanese sumo wrestling.
The abalone game box contains a hexagonal game platform, 14 white and 14 black balls. The color of the balls can sometimes vary, but they are usually black and white. The reason for the game platform being hexagonal is generally due to the fact that the ring where sumo wrestling is held is hexagonal.
The aim of the game is to set up a correct strategy and throw 6 balls belonging to your opponent outside the game field. The one who throws out 6 balls first wins the game.
