little knowns in turkish-italian relations, historian bookstore, 2014. Ultimately, the structural elements of russian expansion, a long and arduous process, are the resistance, eventual defeat, capitulation, and, most importantly, demographic destruction of the non-russian peoples. When we look at the geography stretching from the black sea to the caucasus, it is necessary to draw attention to an important and special element: the fact that large parts of these peoples have more or less forcibly migrated towards the ottoman empire... the events related to this forced migration are the actions of the ottoman authorities in settling these tribes, increasing the proportion of muslim population in ottoman lands, and the merging of the refugees with the turkish nation, which is in the process of being born in the modern sense.
