Product description

Sezai Karakoç and İsmet Özel are undoubtedly two very important and valuable names in Turkish poetry

their prose as well as their poetry has influenced Turkish poetry, Turkish literature and the world of Turkish thought. In both cases, it is essential to carefully examine the writings, views and lives of these two names.

Kâmil Yeşil both approaches the works of these two great names carefully as a literary critic and tells about them as someone who has personally met them, had conversations with them, followed their views and got to know them closely. He draws a "real" portrait of Sezai Karakoç, from his influence on the Second New to his relationship with Mavera writers, from his teacher-student relationship with Necip Fazıl to his friendship with Cemal Süreya, with his answers to those who wrote about him, and with the reflections of these names in the mirror of Sezai Karakoç.For İsmet Özel, he analyzes his works, shows İsmet Özel's place in the world of poetry and thought, explains Özel's concept of "Turkishness" based on his works, and takes a holistic view of the names reflected in the mirror of İsmet Özel.

The key to understanding these two great poets is in Two Seas That Do Not Mix.
