Şule Yayınları Ahmak Ve Dalgınlar Book

Product description

Kitâbu'l-hamkâ ve'l mugaffelîn (the book of ahmak and dalgınlar), is a work that narrates the funny stories of and absent-minded people, devoid of intelligence. It can be considered as part of the tradition of the old scholars to relax their students with ideas and stories in their intellectual circles, that a scholar like ibnü'l-cevzi, who has made significant works in many branches of science, has written a book of ideas. In the book of ibn 'l-cevzi, he tried to reveal that even intelligent people can exhibit careless behaviors, and provided examples of careless behaviors from different segments of society such as administrators, judges, and scholars. Although it reflects various aspects of the abbasi period society, it is possible to see many aspects of this work looking at today due to the fundamental qualities of people that do not change with time and space.
