Sia Kitap Yaz Evi, Daha Sonra - Judith Hermann

Product description

“not a single word too much, not a single word used in the wrong place.

"the neue zürcher zeitung's judith hermann presents the reader with a dense atmosphere and a confident language, conveying the emotions of people who missed the real life in the claws of love and fear, and suffered from the inconclusiveness of their plans for life, with a melancholic mood more than grief."

there is a calmness that seems to settle over their tales, sometimes they appear almost motionless, but it is a taut stillness – like on a hot, humid summer day, just minutes before a storm breaks out.

their characters are also strangely like sleepwalkers. They can dance in the streets, they can flirt, or they can hurt themselves – still, they slide through their own lives almost lazily, as if they accept everything as it seems, without questioning anything.

they observe themselves, they deviate their reactions and feelings, but it is clear that they cannot explain them. In the year of its publication, the summer house, which was highly praised by all critics in germany, opened a different window to contemporary storytelling with then.
