Sia Kitap Which Is Your Story

Product description

With her meticulous, meticulous work and her mastery of the language, ilknur özdemir, who has translated many important works worldwide into turkish, is now coming out with a storybook. Which is your story, the author's first book. He writes warm, yet sad stories in a clear, simple, sparkling turkish, without exaggeration or artificiality. It sincerely describes their contracted lives in big cities

people who have withdrawn into themselves and are tired of carrying their own stories

their unfinished loves with their last words unsaid

their loneliness

their escape from the crowd. The deserted streets of the island, the empty tea gardens, the buses, the steamers, the sea, come to life before our eyes like a painting, and the inner worlds of the people whose stories he tells are skillfully reflected. The loneliness of the big city, the lack of communication, is felt in all the stories in the book. Story people, above all, want to be understood, to be trusted by someone. The author also rightly asks: which is your story? In this first book, i̇lknur özdemir captures a unique voice. He manages to say new things by writing state stories in the structure of a classic story.” cemil kavukçu
