Sia Kitap Uzayıp Giden Bir Gölge Gibi - Antonio Muñoz Molina

Product description

James earl ray, who killed american civil rights activist martin luther king at the lorraine motel in memphis in 1968, spent ten days in lisbon with an angola passport before being caught. Antonio muñoz molina wrote his first novel as a successful writer in the same city in the 1980s. Years later, as molina reenacts these ten days of the murderer, inspired by the documents made public by the fbi, his own memories in lisbon resurface and in the novel, this magical city, the author and the murderer intertwine with shifting perspectives.

like a shadow that moves, a unique, over-the-top novel of two layers that combines the anatomy of a murderer and the memories of a writer. The author drags the reader throughout the novel, reflecting the murderer's mood and the inside of his head, almost like a camera shot, creating a psychological atmosphere that he establishes. This novel, which was included in the 2018 man booker awards shortlist of the spanish writer, is a masterful work mirror fed by documents of an event that left its mark on the history of recent past.

antonio muñoz molina is one of the best writers who continue to write today. Like a shadow that goes on and on, is both a novel and a memoir, a historical document and a creation, a work on the meaning of writing and being, but above all, a delightful interpretation.
