Number of printed pages 140 binding status paperback it is known that history is mostly told with a subjective eye, especially since states and those who govern them want it. Every state has an official rewritten history, next to the unwritten unofficial history. We read that every state, every nation has its heroism in its history, all of them struggled against evil. None of them have shown any injustice or cruelty in their past, even if they did, it would be referred to by another name and there would definitely be a justifiable reason, etc. . . History is as if, except for exceptions, a craft arm responsible for creating materials that serve propaganda, a pr act. . . The causes, consequences, effects of cases are rewritten according to the wishes of the current authority and thus enter the textbooks. Here is what's history, published in 1961 by edward hallet carr. It is useful to remember a sentence from your book, mademki you will invent, at least invent things to read with pleasure. In this book, some of the events, places, and people discussed are imaginary, while others are not. Some is real, the truth is bent and twisted depending on the point. History and literature are intertwined here, but what you will read is neither history nor literature. As it is said in a book, the work of a historian and a novelist is no different. Where they differ is that the historian's work is called accurate. We leave the reader to discover which of the tales told while wandering through the mysterious past of istanbul is real and which is an imagination.
