Product description

“it’s a magnificent account of loss. "a story that shows that what we think we see is just a veil of fog in front of our eyes."" - paul jandl, neue zürcher zeitung everything starts with a kiss."

but really, can it be just one kiss? Franz, who was born and raised in a town in tirol, takes photos of the bride and groom on their most beautiful days as part of his father's wedding organization, until one bride loses her life during the wedding. Does this incident have anything to do with franz? Or with him kissing a girl in the same place a few weeks before that disaster? These questions will cause him to flee to america, but unexpected events will not let him go there either. Franz's experiences will once again reveal that we actually know very little about others - or ourselves - and that the secrets and surprises of humans are never-ending. In 2019, his second novel in turkish, which was deemed worthy of the austrian book prize, was introduced by the master writer gstrein in our country, after the england years.

“norbert gstrein, the master of stories with doubts.

his established structure and admirable clear sentences are watched with excitement.”
