Sia Kitap Ağzında Karanfil Taşıyan Genç Adam - Antonio Skarmeta

Product description

If the chilean writer antonio skármeta is a world-famous writer today, he undoubtedly owes it to his novel called neruda's postman.

The novel about the friendship between the famous poet pablo neruda and his postman, who discovered the seductive power of words and images thanks to him, was adapted for the cinema in 1994 under the name postman and made a big splash the following year, being nominated for the oscar in many categories. Although skármeta has become famous in this way, his writing has remained in the shadow of his work and he has not been sufficiently appreciated for being a skilled storyteller, for example, as well as a novelist. This story selection, compiled by mexican writer juan villoro, is designed to fill this gap. The book consists of a total of 13 stories that will reveal the exit points of skármeta's storytelling, the innovations it brought to its own language, its search for style, and the concerns and interactions behind these searches.

You will notice that the author has created a rich music archive in the background, offering a pleasant listening opportunity, with references almost filling a cd, as you can find traces both before and after the military coup that will cause skármeta to experience years of exiled life. The final story of the book is again in the form of a tribute to a great writer, borges.
