summary:Growth always carries a certain kind of violence – either against oneself or against those who seek to impose their authority.

moreover, if life is taking place in the basque region of the 1980s and 1990s, when, under the influence of political turbulence, it is stretched like a bow, drugs, unemployment, slogans, actions, deaths and misery are rampant.Violence transforms from being personal to becoming a form of existence.

Yokluğu yeğdir presents the heartbreaking story of a family torn apart by this climate.

the youngest of four siblings, amaia, grows up in a world of cruelty where love and fear, wonder and anger are intertwined, depicting a world where the anger of her father, the helplessness of her mother, and the scatteredness of her siblings are all reality. When it returns years later, the traces of the past are still everywhere.

he accepts that escape is impossible and confrontation is the only way to survive.

Award-winning author edurne portela, who knows the value of words and the torment of silence, expertly dissolves the boundaries between individual trauma and social violence, while extracting the anatomy of an era, a country, through the tragedy of a family.

Only one question remains: whose absence is tantamount to existence?
