Seçkin Yayıncılık Sports anonymous companies

Product description

There is fun at the heart of the sport. Therefore, organization in sports is built on the principle of voluntariness. However, the spread of sports to the masses has made their commercialization inevitable. Thus, sports clubs, which were previously organized in a non-profit status, began to corporateize in order to manage their growing economies more healthily. When we look at turkey specifically, corporate involvement in sports, especially football clubs and the football branches of sports clubs, is becoming increasingly common. The increasing corporatization in sports has brought to light the lack of regulations in this area.

in this regard, law no. 7405 on sports clubs and sports federations, which was accepted by the turkish grand national assembly on 22.04.2022, entered into force on 26.04.2022. In kanunda, considering the situation in practice, the company formation in sports is limited to joint-stock companies. The unique nature of sport has largely led to the formation of sports law being independent of state, and this has resulted in sports corporations having distinct characteristics compared to classic joint-stock companies. While there are various academic studies on the corporatization of sports and especially the public listing of sports joint-stock companies, there is no study that comprehensively addresses sports joint-stock companies. With the entry into force of the law on sports clubs and sports federations, the importance of the subject has increased even more.

in this study, a comprehensive review of sports anonymus companies was conducted in accordance with the law on sports clubs and federations.
