Product description

Gypsies: as much as the world is, it is also the socio-cultural richness of turkey. Throughout their history, they did not have either a homeland or a state. They have always been in demand as they meet the needs of the settled as a nomadic society.

their names have always been met with enthusiasm, from time to time, the response of the public.

they are massacred, slandered, alienated, herded and doomed to live in the ditches of their settlements. So much so that mentioning the name gypsy has become taboo.

it was first introduced in gypsies after 1990, primarily as a result of the european union's protection of minority rights.

improvements are being made in their lives. There are few initiatives in turkey to integrate the roma into society.

recently, they have adopted the name roman, not the name gypsy.

We wanted to open the door for you to get to know the romans, who have become part of our memory with their dances, music, weddings, and fortune telling. product name: beyond the world gypsies product code: 9786052492109 author: bahattin ayhan publication year: 2019 cover type: cardboard cover number of pages: 229 paper type: 2.
