Rağbet Yayınları The Possibility of Islamic Sociology

Product description

The relations of “islam” and “sociology” are a topic of debate whose intensity has increased at different times. This relationship and discussions, synchronically more western-style a sociology of speaking, the islamic world-western relations and “i̇slamic thought within the western argument made by some objections also carry close links.

therefore, the subject of debate shows in deeper historical, intellectual, cultural and political characteristics that go beyond the “scientific” nature of sociology.

undoubtedly, the intensification of disputes and the gaining of more and more in-depth content will be a gain for the scientific world.

On the other hand, the “islamic” and “sociology” discussions have, in the process of progress, both enabled the scientific and academic circles in the islamic world to turn their eyes to their “own” history and exegesis, and have also brought about a re-examination of the concepts in the fundamental references of islam. In this context, the existence of a heritage, which has been put on hold due to the impact of very strong winds coming from the west, has begun to rise to the level of awareness again. In fact, many names such as farabi, ghazali, ibn haldun, katip celebi, nâima have begun to be seen as part of this legacy.

again, the basic references of islam ' s intensive meanings drink concepts baggage, all humanity ihatalı 's saying 's words are waiting to be contained in a form.

truthfully, this task awaits muslim sociologists in the future process.

the book in your hands consists of articles that have been published in different journals and books at different times and presented at the workshop. However, these articles, which have gained life from the same direction and common "trouble", have become holistic precisely for this reason.

This book discusses the relations between islam and sunnah, fiqh and sociology both theoretically and conceptually, responds to theses put forward in the islamic world on this subject, and tries to read the concepts existing in our world with a new look accompanied by some titles. After this, we hope to introduce the public of turkey to the copyright and translations related to these topics.
