Product description

20. In our world, which the mass tools developed in the first half of the century turned into a global village

To remain indifferent to the inter-religious dialogue studies and the discussions on the religious view of the other does not seem possible not only for the scientists of religion and intellectuals, but also for an ordinary person who wants to be aware of what is happening around.

the mass communication tools in our homes, the increase in commercial and tourist relations, create the opportunity to meet live anywhere with the other.

but the reasons that require attention to the other's situation are not just temporary conjunctural conditions.

the existence of the other requires the thinking person to seek answers to much more universal theological and philosophical problems. These questions, in a sense, are beyond çağlar, and the answers to be given to them also carry a meaning and value beyond çağlar. Considering the reality of the multiplicity and diversity of religions, is there only one religion that is correct and leads to salvation? Is it possible to discuss the truth or falsity of religions, and if so, what is the criterion for this? Are dialogue calls sincere or are they a version of contemporary missionary Why are there diners behind so many of the wars that history has witnessed?.

etc. These endless heavy questions are enough to show the importance and transcendent dimension of the “other” problem from a religious point of view.

this work deals with the principles, examples and models of the look at the other, both in western thought and in islamic thought, from history to the present day, in a nutshell.
