Summary: A Clinical Map Between Schema, Emotion, and BodyWelcome to this journey through the different levels of the human mind! Every time the door of the therapy room is opened, not only one client but countless maps that do not communicate with each other enter. The cognitive model shows distorted thinking, and the psychodynamic model addresses early life experiences. So, what is this holistic mechanism that transforms that primitive "fight or flight" signal in the amygdala into a years-long decline? The 'Layered Mind' offers an integrative framework that brings together these disparate approaches. It combines the clinical intuition of Schema Therapy, the biological intelligence of Polyvagal Theory, and the findings of contemporary neuroscience into a single structure. This new model introduces practical approaches that show you not only 'what' it is but also 'why' it is.The 'Layered Mind' brings clarity to the challenging moments of the therapy room with step-by-step techniques such as case examples, empathic confrontation, imaginal rewriting, and re-parenting. This book, written for clinical professionals and interested readers, makes the layers of mental defense understandable with the distinction of "short cut - long way"

it offers a practical compass that starts with the symptom on the surface and leads to the need at the core.Dr. Karaosmanoğlu, in this work, takes on the task of merging the "scattered maps" offered by different perspectives to understand the complexities of the human mind.In doing so, he conceptualizes the clients' complaints and the clinically observed symptoms not as a "mistake," but as products of an evolutionarily significant and layered survival strategy. This "Layered Model" is a bold, meticulous, and innovative step in providing us with the holistic map we've all been craving in recent years.Prof. Dr. Levent Sütçigil
