Dr.

İlber ORTAYLI We have finally met with everyone on "changing" and "unchanging." We are changing clothes

we are changing shaving and headgear

we are changing order and regime

we are changing the bearded and turbaned İbrahim Efendi Hodja to the bowler-hatted and matronly Mr. Turk.In our house, we change the kerevet into a sofa, the sini into a table, the loaded room with a floor bed into a room with a wardrobe, the gusulhane into a bathroom, and the caged house into an apartment.

We change tyranny into constitutionalism, constitutionalism into a republic.

But the head? With the saying "We are like us!" we have said the truest of our national wisdoms. We can get rid of everything, even the invasion of seven nations, but we cannot get rid of ourselves.

The claw on our throat is our own claw! This will go on until the right word, the right essence changes the old kneading of our morality, of our morality, of our free seeking, free thinking, free inventing minds

The Eastern issue is really a matter of upbringing

Moral upbringing, head upbringing! For Turkishness and Turkey, all Orientals and the Eastern issue!" Product Name: Ordeal Product Code: 9786057531582 Author: Falih Rifki Atay Edition Year: 2023 Cover Type: Cardboard Cover Number of Pages: 96 Paper Type: 2nd Pulp Translator:
