first use instructions: posca marker pens are shipped with protective packaging to ensure the paint flow remains under control.

for the first use, shake the pen up and down for 10–20 seconds with the cap closed. You will hear the sound of the ball inside. This process ensures that the paint is mixed evenly. Then, open the cap and gently press the pen tip onto a blank sheet of paper and release it. Repeat this process until you reach the tip of the paint pen. If too much paint is applied, gently wipe off the excess with a clean cloth or paper towel. Your pen is now ready to use. You don't need to repeat this preparation process every time you use it
