Pınar Yayınları The Logic of Radical Colonialism

Product description

Frantz fanon, one of the most important sources of the intellectual awakening of the third world, was one of the leading thinkers of the twentieth century because he tirelessly struggled for a new humanity within the social struggles of his time. He joined the ranks of the national salvation front alongside the algerian war of independence, and during this time, he wrote various articles and delivered speeches. The ideological and psychological attacks of colonialism, along with its inflammatory texts, profoundly influenced many areas from postcolonialism to critical theory. In all these texts, the development of his thoughts was based on lived experiences, not on theoretical explanations. The essays, articles, and letters compiled under the title "the logic of radical colonialism" by frantz fanon offer excerpts from his journey towards launching a fight against the physical and mental walls of imperialism. Fanon, who reveals the psychological damage of those oppressed as a psychiatrist, helps us understand how people live in a world. They prove this by writing on many issues, from the independence of algeria to the inheritance of the african union, from the west world to the foot soldiers of imperialism, from fascism to world peace, from the attitude of intellectuals to colonial violence. Frantz fanon's thought, which addresses the problems created by colonialism both on an individual and cultural level, re-emerges today when colonialism and racism have gained new dimensions. Fanon's texts, which can be considered as a cruise book, provide an understanding of both some of the themes that shaped his thoughts and what is happening in the world in its continuities and transformations, in the book "the logic of radical colonialism."
