Pınar Yayınları ‘Hatırla!’ Geçmişin Geleceğindir

Product description

In this century, people forget what they've forgotten.

Alev alatlı, who keeps the books of life and meaning, therefore reminded us loudly and stubbornly in his writings that the past surrounds our future... he showed what we have become, a dry crowd that even forgets to read history, while we were a nation writing history, line by line, letter by letter.

it made him realize the past time calculations behind the events that seemed like a day.

in an effort to raise awareness, he interpreted what was happening without ignoring the truths and sensitivities... he questioned what was written, aware of the unfounded rulings spread by the media with their rhetoric, without getting tired, upset, or annoyed. The market has been flooded with the kind of "ad hominem" rhetoric churned out by various cornerbacks in the realm of thought and politics. For him, as he reads alev alatlı's book 'remember! the past is the future,' the words "past-future" stand out, making themselves apparent to the readers like a thin horizontal line. It brings together both astonishing photographs from the past century and comments made without falling into day-to-day life, providing guidance towards the future.

From the disintegration of the ottoman lands by the colonialists to zionism, from the debates on the world order to europe, from the consolidation of politics to the jurisdiction of the melaleuca, from urban architecture to universities, from the weapons of malumat to nationalism, from the accusations to the images, from nepotism to feminism, from the turkish to the world of intellectuals, many issues are resolved.

What alev alatlı never gives up on saying is always 'remember!' he skillfully uses his guidance, familiarity with his readers, and the possibilities of writing to the fullest extent.
