Parola Yayınları Book Sokrates -Düşünürler - Ahmet Üzümcüoğlu - Parola Yayınları

Product description

Socrates lived in the sophistic period of ancient greece, when rhetoric was dominant. He is one of the greatest thinkers of ancient greece, along with plato and aristotle. He has left no written work. We can only learn about his ideas from the dialogues of his student plato and the memorabilia where the author collected memories about socrates. Apart from plato's dialogues, the oldest text we have about socrates is socrates' apology. This is the oldest document that has come to our days from greek philosophy. Everything before is lost. These works give important clues to his ideas as well as information about his historical personality. Although socrates listened to the lectures of anaxagoras, a nature philosopher of his time, he did not show much interest in the topic of nature philosophy. He has preferred to deal with people and society, and has produced ideas on these issues. Socrates, who often spoke of his ignorance, all i know is that i know nothing. Recognized by word. B.c. When socrates, who was accused of impiety and corrupting the youth, was condemned to death in the athenian popular court in 399, he ended his life with the poison he was given. The students have been in an effort to implement their ideas in different schools they established after socrates' death. Socrates has actually re-established philosophy, and the defense is in itself an introduction to philosophy.
