Product description

We are faced with a semi-legendary novel, fictionalized within the framework of the realities of a period when the woman has not yet been able to achieve her rights as a citizen equal to society. Despite not being considered a woman in greek society and being seen as a slave, women are freer in many ways than they are today. Reading the life of a fanatic who also possesses the rights of the dormitory today can be much more disturbing. The impunity of rape incidents and domestic violence, the presence of child brides, and the political games played over the female body - if this is a matter of progress - prove that our 'modern' society is not further ahead than the greek society. Here, aphrodite reveals the sexual dimension of this, along with all other human dimensions... it is possible to approach aphrodite from two different perspectives. One of these is a work that deals with sexuality, a topic that our society still considers private and difficult to discuss, today. Therefore, the concept of 'shame' reminds us of the blow delivered to personal freedoms with one's hand. Another approach to aphrodite is related to the profession of philosophy itself, based on the master-slave dialectic. Throughout history, humanity has been managed over its weaknesses

the power dynamic has been nourished from this. In this respect, the suppression of sexuality has led to the transformation of the subject into a stereotype. Politics and purity intersect at this point. The promise of chastity is still in the veins of the protectorate today. The fact that aphrodite does not like virginity is therefore noteworthy. In this respect, the novel is actually related to much more than just sexuality. Such a novel is not more of a mystery than our lives. Even though it seems like reality and fiction are going hand in hand, aphrodite is exactly like our lives.
