On a sunny spring day in 1463, the bell of the castle of tunstall suddenly began to ring, and the surrounding villagers, as well as woodcutters, were very surprised by this timeless alarm, immediately stopped their work and ran to the castle of the overlord. In the village, the old people sunbathing on the doorsteps were also shaking their heads, wondering why the bell might have rung on its own. Tunstall, a small town in the county of lancashire, wasn't much different back then than it is today. It is a settlement area located right next to the small till river, which meanders through the wooded hills before flowing into the irish sea just off the northwestern coast of england. Surrounded by small churches nestled amongst porcupine trees, nestled beneath towering trees, their scattered homes clinging to the sheer slopes of a narrow valley, they would often be treated to the sight of a massive castle emerging from the forest.
