Product description

It is a great epic poem, supposedly written by poet homer. Together with another homeros epic, the odeysseia, it is considered the oldest specimen of western literature and one of the most beautiful poems of all time. Both epics, especially the iliad, are written in run, expressing the sayings about the trojan war and the people involved in it. Historians believe that this war, which took place approximately three thousand two hundred years ago, lasted for ten years between the achaeans living in greek anatolia and the trojans who lived in western anatolia. Due to the name of troy in greek being ilios, homer's epic received the name iliad. Homeros does not describe the siege from beginning to end, thinking that everyone in his time knew this story, he describes the events of just four days of the tenth year of the war. The epic begins with agamemnon's anger against the commander of the armies of akhilleus and his withdrawal from the battle, then returns to the battle, after killing hector and dragging him around the city of troy, it ends with him returning the dead body to his father priamos.
