Product description

In this insightful work, tamer küçükçü examines the emergence of modern emblems beginning with tanzimat, which we can consider as the beginning of social transformations, understood on the axis of the novel writing of the turkish milieu, which emerged as a new type that turned the temporal slice and face of the separation from tradition in terms of turkish literature, into another world, through the process of shuttle weaving between literature and life. In the period when the species that do not give the right to self-representation to life and run out of the possibility of renewing themselves are left behind, individualism rises, polyphony in music, eclecticism in art, and multi-heroism in narrative genres emerge, that is, majorities emerge in general terms of art movements, art consumers and readers are dynamic, and the political and didactic face of literature emerges. the novel, which was born as a type suitable for interpreting contemporary life in this period, wanders through the examples that carry the spirit of the time, and kütükçü, who draws the social panorama of istanbul in the second half of the nineteenth century standing at the center of this life, revives the need to re-examine the mentioned works with a different reading experience while transcending the boundaries of literature history with a cultural history and a sociological perspective.
