First printing year: 2015 Author: hüseyin nihal atsız Night of the jackals (1941) and vitamin z (1959) are two satirical/allegorical novels written by the author during that era, where he criticizes the authorities of that time - in the former, by moving them to an imaginary state in ancient times, and in the latter, by moving them 50 years after their own time. Most of their personages are people of that time and are held in a terrific tenkit salvo. The importance of these two short novels is that they target and relentlessly criticize the revolution, which is a call for the years when no one can make a dent in the country under the rule of the “national chief” and the single-party dictatorial. Although the dosage of the tenets in it seems a little too much or unfair, the fact that these novels were written in that period is a great courage and a testament to atsız hodja's uncompromising personality. We are publishing it because it is a certificate of bravery.
