Otto Yayınları Matüridi: in Search of the Lost Enlightenment

Product description

The islamic civilization produced its most serious novices by encountering the berber culture in central asia, turkey and iran

and in morocco.

this encounter revealed the ways of thinking of each geographer, which reflected their character. The maveraünnehir region, which hosts cultural centers such as samarkand, bukhara, and tashkent, has also formed its own tradition with its intellectual mobility and density of scientific education. One of the most important names of this period, where knowledge is rebuilt in a systematic form, is imam maturidi, who is described by the scholars after him as 'the guide to the confused'.

the work in your hands demands the testimony of muslim communities to the age with the power of enlightenment based on knowledge, not only with the scourge of ignorance.
