Olimpos Yayınları Women's Circle of Lady Tan

Product description

"according to confucius, ""an educated woman is a worthless woman."" however, tan yunxian, who was born into an elite family struggling with death, separation and loneliness, was raised by her grandmother and grandfather as a useful person to society." Her grandmother was one of a handful of female doctors in china, and she taught yunxian the basics of chinese medicine - the four examinations, the six maladies, the seven emotions - and that the body is a reflection of the cosmos. From a young age, yunxian, along with meiling, a young female student, had learned a lot about women's diseases caused by giving birth to many children. The two little girls quickly warmed up to each other, laying the foundation for a solid friendship, and they also found a common goal. They had vowed that they would never separate and remain friends forever, just like the joyful days, in the difficulties as well. They would say to themselves: if there is no mud, there is no lotus. beauty can emerge from difficulties. However, when yunxian made a marriage in accordance with tradition, her mother-in-law would also forbid her to see meiling and help the women and girls at home. Yunxian should behave like a proper wife, tie her feet, play an instrument, recite poetry, give birth to a boy, and stay within the walls of the fragrant roses garden where the family resides.

how would a woman like yunxian get rid of these traditions and continue to treat women and girls from all walks of life? How could it achieve to develop many treatments to be used even after five centuries? How would the strength of friendship help him on this difficult journey? Or would it just make things more complicated? Lady tan's women's circle is a fascinating story about women helping other women. On the one hand, it deals with the life of a woman who stood out during the ming dynasty period and is even considered remarkable today, with all her ups and downs.
