Product description

Cadastre officer k. comes to perform his duties in the village where he is assigned. He wants to go to the chateau in the village and talk to an official and find out about his assignment. In the village, a hierarchical system exists, the existence of which is not obvious, but influential on the people. His efforts to reach shatoya are thwarted each time by the villagers and authorities, his struggle with the mysterious authority dragging him into a task that consumes him over time. The castle is one of the most significant philosophical novels of the 20th century. The unfinished work, following the death of franz kafka in 1924, was edited and prepared for publication by his close friend and literary heir, max brod.
