LITECAST® Structural Design: Thanks to Okuma’s magnesium alloy structural engineering, it is 15% lighter than older Azor models while maintaining the highest levels of strength and durability. Carbonite High-Output Dual Force Drag (DFD) System: In the DFD system, both surfaces of the spool are designed to provide high drag pressure, performance, and smooth rotation. It is a multi-disc drag system mounted on the upper part of the reel and protected by a “hydro block” system, working in conjunction with a secondary drag system mounted beneath the reel. Equal pressure is applied to both sides of the reel for maximum consistency and significantly increased drag performance compared to traditional single-drag systems. Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC): DLC-Coated Balanced Flow Cylinder System The DLC-coated EFR II significantly reduces line friction, allowing the line to run more smoothly over this smooth surface, thereby extending line life and preventing line twisting. Gear Stabilization Design HIGH-PERFORMANCE BALL BEARINGS (HPB) Six high-performance ball bearings provide Salina reels with exceptionally smooth rotation and reliability in saltwater fishing environments. The balls used in the HPBs are manufactured from the same high-quality stainless steel material as the bearing housing.
