Nishane Hacivat X is a unisex composition from 2023 in extrait de parfum concentration, classified as woody and citrus.
It simultaneously recalls its famous predecessor and sounds completely new.
The name "
Hacivat X"
refers to a character from the ancient Turkish shadow play "
Karagöz"
Hacivat in this tradition is a learned, refined, and slightly cunning hero, the complete opposite of the simple-minded Karagöz.
The first fragrance with this name entered the Shadow Play collection back in 2017 and quickly became the calling card of the Istanbul brand.
Perfume enthusiasts immediately began comparing Hacivat by Nishane with Aventus by Creed, although both works differ in construction and character.
"

appeared as part of the anniversary X Collection, timed to the brand's tenth anniversary.
The creators' idea was not to amplify the original's loudness, but to create a free variation around its DNA - softer, more floral, with a distinctly woody finish.
The opening is sparkling: ripe pineapple meets energetic bergamot, and pink pepper adds a piquant sharpness.
The fruity juiciness of the first seconds is immediately framed by peppery pungency, preventing the opening from becoming cloying.
In the heart, the composition transforms: cool lime, delicate jasmine petals, and the warm, slightly honeyed breath of orange blossom.
It is this floral layer that significantly distinguishes the perfume from its predecessor, giving the scent a soft, enveloping roundness instead of the previous sharpness of oakmoss.
The base notes form a dense woody canvas: earthy patchouli, dry cedar, and Haitian vetiver with its characteristic nuances of damp greenery and cool soil.
Some interesting details: The formula was developed by Julien Rasquinet - a perfumer who, in his youth, underwent a three-year training with the legendary Pierre Bourdon.
According to Rasquinet, the main task of each of his creations is to awaken a genuine experience in those who inhale the fragrance.
If the original Hacivat by Nishane featured oakmoss prominently, the X version shifted the focus to floral and woody facets, making the composition more flexible and versatile.
Vetiver for the fragrance base is sourced from Haiti
this ingredient brings an earthy freshness reminiscent of the smell of freshly cut grass.
