between 1972-1979, he completed the çağlayan elementary school, bünyan middle school, and bünyan high school in bünyan district. After high school, he went to germany in 1979. After attending the foreign language course at the ludwig maximilian university in munich, he continued for a year at the faculty of political sciences of the same university. In 1981, he graduated from the faculty of science and literature, department of german language and literature, at atatürk university in erzurum.

graduated from this specialty in 1985. In 1986, he started his duties as a research assistant at the department of german language and literature, faculty of languages and history-geography (dtcf) at ankara university.

he was awarded the title of associate professor in 2000 and professor in 2006. In 1990, he received a ten-month scholarship from the german academic exchange service and worked on his doctoral thesis in munich. He frequently conducted scientific studies in germany in different years with the scholarships he received. The author, who continues his duty at dtcf and whose scientific field of study is linguistics, translation science, language teaching, and semantics, has been teaching german grammar for years.
