In many countries around the world &quot

Age of discovery &quot

The name of the turks is not mentioned when it is explained.

&quot

Age of discovery &quot

When we say it, some of the names we are familiar with come to mind in an instant: marco polo, magellan, christopher columbus, amerigo vespucci.

but why don't we talk about piri reis? Piri reis's efforts in this field have been almost ignored. However, from his encounter with christopher columbus in 1501 in a battle off the coast of valencia (spain) - where columbus was still missing - he seized the original map of the americas and the first sighting of the american continent. &quot

Age of discovery &quot

There is no mention of him drawing one of the first world maps (1513). This historical novel, titled "cartographer and explorer," not only opens doors for those who haven't discovered it yet, but also weaves together the historical narrative with the adventurous life of young piri reis, his mediterranean explorations, maps, battles, and loves.

You will feel yourself in a feast of science and literature when you read the epic story of kitâb-ı bahriye and its contribution to the history of world science, with the world maps drawn by him in 1513 and 1528 to join his country's age of discovery. For readers who want to evaluate the past well and illuminate the future with those values, the cartographer and the explorer is a vast reading experience.
