Metis Yayıncılık Literature Psychoanalysis and Other Matters

Product description

In order to establish a meaningful relationship between literature and psychoanalysis, we need to look at this relationship in reverse.

psychoanalysis can change neither the value nor the meaning nor the effect of a literary text. However, the critical reading of the literary text is of indispensable importance for us to understand and comprehend psychoanalysis and to make it permanently applicable in our entire life, beyond the psychoanalytic therapy relationship. "there is a legendary quote attributed to freud: ""wherever i go, i find a poet who has gone before me." Of course, it's just a rumor

when you mix freud's theory, you don't come across such a word. However, we seem to be sure that he said another sentence that can be understood in this way: “poets and philosophers had discovered the subconscious before me.

it was the scientific method of researching the subconscious that i discovered. What did poets and philosophers see there when they discovered the subconscious? How did they interpret what they saw? And finally: what did the psychoanalysis learn from what they saw, what will they find out? — bülent somay
