Metis Yayıncılık Late Period Style Against the Wind: Literature and Music

Product description

A matter that occupied edward said's mind for a long time is the late style. said, who examined the late works of richard strauss, beethoven, thomas mann, jean genet, giuseppe tomasi di lampedusa, konstantinos kavafis, luchino visconti, and glenn gould, passed away before he could see this book published. this work, essentially based on said's lectures at columbia university in 1995, brings to light another dimension of late works by poking fun at the myths about the artist and the artwork. it is for those who are interested in the genuine artistic brilliance in these works, which often go against the public's taste. product name: late style against the wind literature and music product code: 9789753426695 author: edward w. said publication year: 2008 cover type: paperback number of pages: 184 paper type: book paper translator: özge çelik
