Metis Yayıncılık Language Matters

Product description

As in the first volume, here too, a large part of the titles consists of points that we feel the need to discuss, verify or question in terms of language and explanation in current turkish texts: grammar, imlan, the relationship between english and turkish, the relationship between language and society, as well as some aspects of terms and concepts that require insight and discussion in practice. Including the size we call ‘say’. I hope that both volumes can serve as a source of reference and study material, thanks to their index. However, in my opinion, the most important thing is the style of looking at language issues, especially the 'overview' articles in both volumes. The 'correct' and 'incorrect' of the language, the forms the language takes in a thousand and one state of life and a thousand and one formation of society, the subtleties of these in a process... when i say 'overview', i'm talking about creating intuitions about language phenomena. If our language, our languages and our language matters can contribute to these instincts to the extent, they will have achieved their purpose to that extent.
