Metis Yayıncılık Gestalt Theory

Product description

This book can be considered a small "memory refresh" study within the history of psychology, about the gestalt theory, which is perhaps the most interesting but least understood theory developed by psychology to date.

Our aim is to give this striking theory, which looks at the world through completely different glasses, a little "justice," where the original state is known very little, and what is known is either very incomplete or completely wrong, sometimes due to translation deficiencies or errors, and sometimes due to the failure to read the original works.

two aspects of the theory are particularly exciting. One of these is that the theory makes predictions about all other areas of psychology besides perception, and is even based on a general understanding that can extend beyond psychology. Another is its complete rejection of defining everything through two opposing camps within the history of psychology – especially with the "imposition" of the anglo-american school of psychology. "seeing gestalt theory as ""a theory on dusty pages of history"" would be quite wrong." This theory, often considered "buried in history" within mainstream psychology, is intriguingly, never truly went away. The increasing sophistication of mathematical models, especially with the advent of striking advancements in neuroscience and computer science, seems to have suddenly placed gestalt theory back at the forefront of research.

there are very fascinating issues that my theory touches upon, and it seems that in the twenty-first century, a perspective that can examine events through more complex dynamic systems will be needed.
