Product description

Autumn 1902, vienna.

a young man named franz xaver kappus will follow a path full of difficulties in pursuit of his passion or choose a career that will secure his future? One day, he gathers his courage and sends a few of the poems he wrote to the master poet rainer maria rilke, who he sees as his idol, and asks for his opinions. Rilke's response is a treatise that can be beneficial not only to this young poet, but also to anyone interested in learning the art of life: “return to yourself. Rilke, who sees approaching his own truth as an inner struggle and discovery, delicately conveys in the letters he wrote that nothing that does not sprout in a person's heart cannot be the owner, while offering a lamp to illuminate the darkness within the young poet. In letters to a young poet, which we present together with thematic continuity, in letters to a young woman, the person rilke corresponded with this time is a woman in emotional distress: lisa hease. Rilke pours out his heart, seeks advice from his mind, and searches for hope in him. This woman, who is fighting for survival with her son, finds the strength to live in rilke's wise words. We present these two valuable works of rilke, one of the geniuses of the 20th century and one of the world's most important poets, which serve as a guiding light in his creative and life endeavors, through the careful translation of semih uçar.
