The work, prepared for publication by prof. dr. zeynep korkmaz as the basic grammar book of turkish in turkey and included among the books presented to the 80th anniversary of the republic of turkey, contains the shape knowledge of turkish in turkey. in the "foreword" of the work, which was prepared within the scope of the project supported by the state planning organization, there is brief information about the shape knowledge of turkish. later, the abbreviations of the works scanned in terms of shape knowledge and other abbreviations used in the study are given in separate lists. in the "introduction" section, general topics such as the main language families and the place of the turkish language among the world languages, the historical periods of the turkish language, and the historical development of turkish in turkey are discussed.
The work, consisting of four main sections, is titled "main features of morphology and word formation." in the first section, words are presented according to various features such as their roots, structures, and semantic relationships. this section, which explains the formation and inflectional suffixes with examples, also touches upon suffixal stereotyping. in the second section, titled "meaningful words," nouns, adjectives, pronouns, verbs, declarative moods, indicative moods, compound verbs, and intransitive verbs are explained according to their various features and with abundant examples. in the third section, titled "functional words," prepositions and conjunctions are evaluated in terms of their structures, types, and functions. in the fourth section, titled "meaningful-functional words," interjections are evaluated from various angles such as their origins, their place in the sentence, and their functions.
At the end of the work is a large “reference” the work, where the topics are told with many examples, is one of the important publications of the turkish language institution.
