Opitz In this work, which is considered to be “one of the most illuminating texts on the nature of european politics”, voegelin is endeavoring to “re-establish political science in the classical manner, contrary to the dominant methods of positivism”.

his compliance with tradition is intended to lay the theoretical basis of political science as a science of the fiveer and social order.

voegelin places the question of rationality 's nature at the center of his inquiry. It examines the fate of rationality, which consists of corruption in the development and modern period, from ancient eastern civilizations to today in the context of world history, while laying the foundations of its own historical philosophy.

he is a follower of vico, who took the front against positivism and designed the new science of politics and history by voegelin, which opposed galileo's new science (nuova scienza).

the new science of politics, based on a series of walgreen lectures delivered by voegelin at the university of chicago in 1951 on the topic of truth and representation, is voegelin's most famous work. The work, which has been published in many languages, meets the reader for the first time in turkish.
