Product description

Harpagon, one of the extremely rich and yet miserly bourgeoisie of paris, plans to marry his son cléante and daughter élise to wealthy individuals, but things do not go as planned. The young neapolitan valère saved élise from a shipwreck and, having won her heart, entered harpagon's house as a bailiff. Cléante is in love with a young girl named mariane who is facing financial difficulties. While the young people's concern is whether they can marry their loved ones, harpagon's only worry is the gold he buried in the garden in a chest, fearing it might be stolen.
