Product description

In this book, you will be able to read short stories by ango sakaguchi, one of the leading writers of modern japanese literature of the pre- and post-wwii era, namely 'under the sakura blossoms', 'oda nobunaga' , 'ieyasu', 'budala' and 'theory of yozhiki 1-2'. "you will witness what a cruel murderer can do for the sake of love in ""under the sakura blossoms"", which shares the same name with the cherry blossom, an important symbol of japanese culture."

you will also read the stories of two of the three greatest unifiers of japan's sengoku period (the warring period of the principality) of all time, oda nobunaga and tokugawa ieyasu.

Despite being constantly underestimated by his own men, you will discover in this book the true face of tokugawa ieyasu, the warrior who defeated his opponents thanks to the clever tactics he developed, the one who was raised as a child by being held hostage to the rival clan, became known as the 'fox father' in the following years, and eventually united japan under a single flag, establishing the tokugawa shogunate. You will read in budala how people living in tokyo behaved during world war ii when american planes dropped bombs on their heads, you will feel as if you were there yourself.

and in the theory of conspiracy, you'll find sakaguçi's harsh criticism of politics and government, and you'll be surprised to see that these criticisms remain relevant today.

Ango sakaguçi, who critically emphasized not only the battles or heroism but also the personalities of great shoguns like nobunaga and ieyasu who guided japanese history, also wrote about japan's social tramplings during the second world war in a complex but impressive language in his story called the theory of yozemation.
