Kolektif Kitap Encounters - Bir Benjamin Romanı

Product description

She was killed by the angel of history, who could never be satisfied, no doubt.

The most obvious thing that killed him was usually time, who always waited sarcastically on the sidelines, and finally appeared on the stage, claiming the authorship of everything that had already happened, every twitch, every step, every jump, every flicker of the eye, every line felt from the heart, and every random gesture. The encounters of walter benjamin, which begins with benjamin's escape from paris in 1940, right after germany's invasion of france, follows benjamin's pursuits of his passions and curiosities, and keeps the mathematics of his death.

In the novel, which progresses along the axis of philosophical debates, occupation, war, and escape, names such as bertolt brecht, gershom scholem, and hannah arendt are featured. benjamin's friends and family, their loves and loneliness, his life and his suicide, the memoir he kept hidden from his eyes, are re-engaged through pages, while his life story becomes a powerful metaphor for the horrific war that ravaged the world in the middle of the twentieth century.
