summary:The principles of ecofeminism remind us that the plundering of nature and the exploitation of the female body are products of the same systems

that ecological crises resonate not only in the melting of glaciers, but also in the kitchens, fields, and burdens of women's lives.

Maria mies and vandana shiva offer a powerful analysis in ecofeminism that deepens and grounds this striking perspective, revealing ecological destruction not as a solely environmental issue, but as a consequence of the intertwined forms of patriarchal and capitalist oppression. From the experiences of women in the southern hemisphere to the industrial disasters and militaristic policies of the north, a panorama of resistance emerges, both local and global. The authors explore, in striking detail, how the continuity of life is placed on women, spanning a spectrum from the metalinguistic expression of basic human needs to the burden of militarism on women's bodies.

Mies and shiva propose a completely different framework, questioning the dominant paradigms of growth, reproductive technologies and modernization, while recalling that nature preserves life through cooperation, mutual care and love. They challenge conventional perspectives on globalization, science, and development, envisioning a more ethical, sustainable, and life-sustaining world.

Ecofeminism is a book that brings together philosophical depth with practical insights, inviting us to rediscover ancient wisdom.

an inspiring guide for anyone wanting to understand the invisible connections between gender, ecology, and global inequality, and to trace the possibilities for new beginnings.
