Kolektif Kitap Betrayal of self

Product description

Seeing the concept of autonomy as a sign of individual power and superiority is a misconception produced by the modern success-oriented society and has severe consequences. because real autonomy is, as psychoanalyst arno gruen clearly shows in this book, being in complete harmony with one's own feelings and needs. however, the mentality focused on success and productivity prevents many people from connecting with themselves. the vitality of education and social pressures suppress creativity and the ability to love. this loss leads people to a personality structure that makes them both dependent and obedient, which results in self-betrayal. this book was written with the hope of empowering those who believe that a more humane world is still possible, who are not afraid to feel, but to adapt, to the wisdom of sensitivity and to the power of inner integrity. my aim is to contribute, albeit a small one, to rebuilding the place of a reality based on emotions in the scientific field against the dominance of abstract thought detached from emotion.
