köksal kitabevi Teneke Snare Drum Günter Grass

Product description

I wouldn't have been able to recall the necessary, yet somehow unnecessary detail to put the main point on paper without my snare drum, which inspired my skilled and patient fingers.

if the hospital hadn't given me a trace of talking tin snare three or four hours a day, i'd be a poor man who couldn't even recognize his parents.the first half of the nineteenth century. Germany.

a town where germans, poles and other smaller nations live together: danzig. A child who, on his third birthday, was given a tin snare drum as a gift

a child who "preferred" not to grow up, instead of joining the world of adults around him, which was full of misery, pessimism, lies, and crime, if you will, oskar matzerath.

The tin trumpet traces a path from pre-war danzig to post-war dusseldorf, allowing us to see both central europe and germany in a way they've never been seen before, through the eyes of oskar matzerath, a boy who refuses to grow up and transforms into a mental institution patient.

In the classic novel of the grass, you will witness the protest of the oskar of the social degeneration, the knocks of the tin trampet and the sound of the glass smashing. Considered a harsh critique of a bitter era, *the tin drum*, published in 1959, is nobel laureate günter grass's most well-known novel and has long held a steadfast place among the world's literary classics.
