Kırmızı Kedi Yayınları Aşk-ı Memnu

Product description

Ahmet Hamdi Tanpınar perfectly expresses Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil's place in Turkish literature with the words "Until Halit Ziya, there is not a single writer born with the imagination of a novelist."

This is partly why his works are still being read today... Aşk-ı Memnu, whose plot is known to everyone today and which tells the forbidden love of Bihter and Behlül, is one of Uşaklıgil's novels that attracts attention in every period.

Wealthy, polite Adnan Bey marries Bihter, the daughter of Firdevs Hanım, whom he meets on one of his trips to Göksu

Bihter, who makes this marriage thinking of Adnan Bey's wealth, cannot ignore her rich husband's old age after a while. She loses her heart to Behlül, her husband's flighty nephew

Behlül, however, is engaged to his cousin and Bihter's stepdaughter Nihal... "After this first sin of love, Bihter seemed to have fallen ill, she heard nothing when she left Behlül's room

she was in a sleep that numbed all her senses. When she went to bed, she fell asleep immediately

but as soon as she opened her eyes in the morning, before she had even gotten out of bed, she found all that ugly truth awake with her.

So this morning Bihter was a different Bihter than every morning." Product Name: Aşk-ı Memnu Product Code: 9786052987186 Author: Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil Edition Year: 2020 Cover Type: Cardboard Cover Number of Pages: 504 Paper Type: Book Paper Translator:
