Ketebe Yayınları Guide to Culture

Product description

“in this little book, my intention is to say what i think at as many points as possible. This means that i will say a few words that few people dare to say. This book, which includes essays and critiques by ezra pound, one of the founders of modernist poetry, who centered around the concepts of culture and civilization, offers a guiding map to understand pound's poetic universe. In this text, pound attempts a commentary with aphorisms that cover the culture and all areas related to it.

Other products of culture and civilization it produces

In addition to art, economics, politics, architecture, literature, education, religion, history, and philosophy, pound also turns his attention to ancient chinese civilization, greek and roman civilizations, and islamic culture while looking at the modern western civilization from a critical perspective.

“what are the instruments that produce a high culture and civilization? How does culture become corrupt? What does the training do? What is the relationship between modern economic forms and modern culture and civilization? "pound, who gives provocative, thought-provoking answers to questions like, ""what is poetry?"", and relies on his own terminology, makes references to many different names in these texts he wrote in the form of trailers, from confucius to aristotle, from saint ambrose to frobenius, from velázquez to yeats, from gaudi to mussolini." The culture guide opens a wide door to the mental world of ezra pound, one of the most important poets of modernist aesthetics.
